No-Shows
If an instructor fails to attend a scheduled lesson or arrives more than 10 minutes late, $5 will be deducted from their deposit. Frequent no-shows may result in the instructor's profile being hidden or permanently removed from the platform.
Late Arrivals
Late over 15 minutes
If an instructor is late for more than 15 minutes and reported by the learner, the lesson will be cancelled and a 5USD deposit will be deducted in the instructor’s deposit base and credited to the learner as a compensation.
Late within 15 minutes
If an instructor arrives less than 15 minutes late, they are required to extend the lesson to cover its full duration. If an immediate extension is not possible due to a subsequent booking, the instructor must communicate with the student to arrange an acceptable solution.
Waiting Policy
Instructors must wait for 15 minutes in the virtual classroom if a student is late. Should the student arrive within this window, the lesson will proceed as scheduled and conclude at the originally planned time. If the student does not appear after 15 minutes, the instructor can choose how to proceed, and the student will still be charged for the lesson.
Reinstatement
Persistent no-shows or frequent lateness may lead to the instructor's profile being hidden from prospective learners. After three instances of no-shows, the profile may be permanently deactivated.
Maintaining Profile Visibility
Instructors are expected to uphold punctuality and professional standards to maintain their visibility on the platform. Consistent tardiness or missed lessons can result in penalties and a reduction in profile exposure to potential learners.
UNI EdTech enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy on harassment. Instructors must maintain professional behavior during all interactions and lessons. Any form of harassment or inappropriate conduct toward learners will result in warnings, with repeated offenses leading to potential account suspension or permanent deactivation.
All lesson and service transactions must be conducted exclusively through the UNI platform. Instructors are prohibited from offering or selling lessons outside of the platform. If learners attempt to bypass the platform for direct transactions, instructors are required to report such incidents to UNI. Non-compliance with this policy will result in account suspension.
To foster a respectful and inclusive learning environment, instructors must avoid discussing sensitive topics, including but not limited to politics, sex, race, and other controversial subjects. This policy aligns with UNI’s commitment to providing a supportive and professional educational experience.
